> A single fundamental flaw plagues modern digital systems: proof is bound to the entity that holds it. If the provider vanishes, the proof perishes. If the service ceases, validity ends. This is not a technical oversight—it is a flawed trust architecture.

### I. The Core Problem
Most digital platforms do not truly store "proof." Instead, they store one of the following:
*   Access controls to evidence—rather than the evidence itself.
*   System-dependent representations of evidence.
*   Data that remains valid only as long as the host system operates.

Consequently, proof is never independent, validation is tied to vendor survival, and truth cannot be independently re-evaluated. This introduces a single point of failure: **the ongoing existence of the company becomes a prerequisite for the validity of the proof.**

### II. Core Design Principle
VerixID was engineered around one non-negotiable imperative:  
**The validity of proof must never depend on the existence of VerixID.**

From this single principle, our entire architecture is derived. It is neither a feature nor a toggle. It is a permanent constraint embedded into the system from day one.

VerixID shifts the trust paradigm:
